Bob starting playing tennis at the age of ten and was one of the top ten players in the northwest in his age division. He started teaching tennis when he was fifteen and has worked in the tennis field on at least a part-time basis since that time. As a senior, he led his high school team to the state championship in 1974.
Bob has 17 years combined experience coaching high school/college tennis. One of his top students at Lewis and Clark College, Joe Condy, qualified for and played in the NAIA national championships in 1990.
